From the US
From the East Coast and Chicago:
- Air Jamaica flies direct to Grenada from JFK, arriving in Grenada in time for the
Osprey to Carriacou.
- Air Jamaica also has good connections to Grenada via Montego Bay from Boston, NY, Newark, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Atlanta, Chicago and Ft. Lauderdale.
- US Air direct service has been cut: At present USAir offers a
code-sharing connection via Barbados.
From just about anywhere in the US:
American Airlines has connections to Grenada via its new hub in Miami or San Juan, Puerto Rico, but should only be used if
you’re collecting
or using miles as the schedule guarantees your trip will involve an
overnight stay in Grenada.
Other alternatives:
One way to go is via Barbados where you can catch a flight to Grenada.

From Europe
For most countries, the best connections to Grenada are via London where you can catch British Airways,
excelairways and Virgin Atlantic. All fly to Barbados where you can catch
a plane to Grenada or
a flight directly to Carriacou. Virgin and British also have direct flights to Grenada. For the
budget conscious: excelairways charter flies to Grenada. The schedule is quite
good, it gets you to Carriacou in one day.
If you can fly via Frankfurt the trip is easy. In the winter
months Condor
flies direct to Grenada. (It's rumored that Condor is expanding to a
year round service) This flight also gets you to Carriacou in one day. American Airlines is also a possibility, but only if you like living on an
airplane – the flight is via New York, San Juan etc.
From
Canada
You will almost always be flying via Barbados or via Trinidad. Air Canada
operates a limited seasonal service from Toronto direct to Grenada. For the
budget conscious, Skyservice has similar seasonal charter flights.
From
Grenada to Carriacou:
- Take the high-speed ferry. The Osprey leaves St. George’s Carenage at 9:00AM and 5:30PM.
The taxi ride from the airport to the ferry is only about ten minutes.
- Or, if you get to Grenada in time, you can catch the last SVG Air flight to
Carriacou which leaves in the vicinity of 4:30PM.
